Brilliant craftspeople
Looking at the lineup of speakers, this conference gathers some of today's brilliant craftspeople and 8 new faces that you haven't seen around the conference circuit. Already announced are Jeffrey Zeldman, Simon Collison, Brad Frost, Chris Shiflett, Cindy Chastain, Derek Featherstone, Tim Brown, Shelly Bowen, and Jessica Hische.
4 days and 3 nights
The conference will give you four days of design, type and code, given to you as a mix of lectures, talks and workshops, and three nights of entertainment and fun socials. Inspire starts on Sunday December 9th kicking of with a "Lazy Sunday" including tour walks, and a pub crawl that brings you to the best bars in town, followed by an inspirational lecture just before ending the night with live music. Monday will be announced as the "New Faces day" with new speakers that you aren't familiar yet, followed by the main conference day on Tuesday, ending the day with a party in the evening. The live act is another must and an artist that I own several albums from, Jaidene Veda. Her sweet voice will surely inspire you.
I'm looking forward to see Brad Frost speak as I have linked a bunch of times to his excellent responsive design stuff such as his Responsive Navigation Patterns, Complex Navigation Patterns and his This is Responsive resources. Another personal favorite is Jessica Hische. I've been a fan of her illustration work. Her Daily Drop Cap project is one of my bookmarks that I visit regularly.
Workshops
The last day of the conference will be a full day of two workshops. Two 8 hours workshops about Typography and one that covers Accessibility. The typography one is called 'The Craft of Web Typography' and done by The Standardistas. I haven't seen them speak but I've heard about them before. The accessibility workshop is presented by Derek Featherstone and is called 'Accessibility for UX Designers'. I've seen Derek speak on several occasions and his input is always very valuable & practical. I would highly recommend him if you want become to more knowledgeable about Accessibility.
