The best part of ExpressionEngine is its great community. Proof of this is the well thought and written article A plea to Ellislab by Kenny Meyers. In this article Kenny voices some of the opinions that were formed during EECI 2010, Leiden, NL. One of the areas he touches on in this post is the UX problems in ExpressionEngine 2. Since I helped Ellislab in designing this I feel that I need to clarify a few things about my involvement.
This September marks the five-year anniversary of my partner in crime Authentic Jobs. Can you believe it? I can’t. Started as a sidebar on Cameron's site, it has grown into a valuable, standalone resource for web and creative professionals.
As promised before, I'll share a little bit of the design process of how this new site came to life and why I took certain decisions. As you can imagine this was a long, and sometimes difficult path, as my previous blog was so well received. Since there is so much I want to share with you I thought of splitting things up into different articles. Even though my blog was liked by so many people, I felt I had to move on and change things drastically. And so I started this big challenge of creating something that I believe would be a great improvement...

My new site: It’s finally here! I lost count of the hours I spent creating this baby, but one thing is for sure: I’ve worked very hard, and I’m very proud that I can finally launch it. While I may write an in-depth article about my design process in a later article, I’ll share some of my thoughts about its initial design today...
