ShapeShifter

If you are an interface geek as me you can now dress-up your Mac(OS X). Remember Kaleidoscope from the good old days? Well you now have a similar app called ShapeShifter for MacOS X to change the entire look of your Mac interface.
ShapeShifter is a revolutionary new product that lets you change the overall appearance of your Mac using 'themes'. We're not talking about just desktop backgrounds and icons here, we're talking about everything - the look of windows, menus, buttons, absolutely everything.
You don't wear the same clothes everyday, your house doesn't look exactly like your neighbour's - why should the computing interface you use everyday be any different. You personalize your physical workspace to suit your tastes and whims, so why not your Mac?

It sounds like a cool app, but since it's still pretty new I rather sit back first until I hear some good response from users, just be on the safe side after all I would be installing it on my "work" machine. Crashing would make the boss unhappy :-P
And with these kind of toys you never know...
If you are like me, then you can read the ginny-pick stories at:
If I hear enough positive stories I'll try this app, because dressing up is fun! :-D

Stop waiting and do it. I’ve been playing with it on my desktop and notebook. I’ve loaded every neat theme I could find and just like Kaleidoscope, it changes without killing the computer.
What is truly cool is that it does a credible job of taking themes not made for Panther and lets you use them. A little cosmetic gunk shows with some but not all older themes.
Go on, try it!
