Yesterday our favorite CEO turned 50. Born under the name Steven Paul Jobs on February 24, 1955 in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
He grew up as a child in Mountain View and Los Altos, Calif., an area that later became known as Silicon Valley. Together with his friend Steve Wozniak he founded a company called Apple Computer in 1976 in Jobs family garage. In 1984 something happened that later had an affect on my personal life namely the birth of the Macintosh, the first commercially successful computer with a graphical user interface.
Jobs was forced out of Apple in 1985 but thanks to Gill Amelio who bought NEXT, Jobs returned to his roots. And we all know that since he’s back Apple is on the roll and the future never looked any better. There are even signs on the wall that Apple will get into PVR world by buying TIVO but that’s still a rumor so far.
So thank you Steve for all those wonderful years of Macintosh pleasure you have given me. Maybe a day late (busy you know the drill) but here is my happy birthday to you. I wish you many more “One more things” and continually innovating the IT Industry.

Good ol’ Steve. He may run a tight ship (some feel too tight) but you can’t say he hasn’t brought Apple back from the ashes and turned it into what it is today. And that is a company offering a genuine choice for those who step out of the box, have their own vision and aren’t afraid to try and think different(ly).

A little late , but here’s to you Steve ! congratz !
Just one more thing… let’s put some €‘s together to buy him some new sneekers ! he deserves iT ! :-) the iSocks are existing, allthough he doesn’t wear any. A sign to develop some iTrainers ???

@Pat: About Steve reading this… well maybe since I seem to have some regular visitors from Apple. So maybe it is Steve ;-)
@Lazymouse: Maybe it’s that vegetarian thing that has kept him so well preserved :-)
@Kevin: I doubt it… But still a good question though. Would love to be a fly to find out this kind of things ;-)
