KBC Online progress update III
2005 at 02.09 am posted by Veerle
A few weeks ago we posted a temporary solution to get KBC online to work in Safari as long as you kept your session going. Since then I have been getting some progress updates and I am glad that as of Safari 2.0 everything works flawlessly.
I did hold my breath with all the latest updates like Java 2 Standard Edition 5.0 Release 3 and Security-Update (2005-009) but the team tested that and let me know that I could safely install it. Of course there are no absolute guaranties that it will stay that way with every update that Apple does. So if you are running Tiger you can now use Safari to do all your banking and to me that’s a great relief.
They also promised a structural solution for the future so I am hopeful that the positive feeling that I have now will remain. The only drawback of course is that you got to have Tiger to make it work, Panther users are out of luck for the time being. We have been communicating on this regularly and I hope that will remain so in the future. When new developments or solutions are up on us I’ll post them here.

Too late. I’ve opened an account with Argenta.

I still find KBC has to do a complete rewrite of their online banking program. Even their website doesn’t work completly with Safari. Just try to open the forums on their site.
If other banks can do it correctly for years, why can’t KBC do this?
