Icon inspiration

2004 at 02.20 am posted by Veerle Pieters

Some of my icon designsRo London has collected around 300 icons from 1800 websites. To be clear, the purpose of this site is not to copy the intellectual property of others but to use as a starting point for your own icon inspiration.

Sometimes making these little icons can be tricky and hard because there aren't so many ways to represent an arrow for example. Here are some icons that I made over time.

On a sidenote: Jeffrey Zeldman has a new home. I like the color scheme and prefer this one over the older version. It makes me think about ecology and nature ;-)

That’s a fantastic link/resource!  Thanks for posting.

I came across one for company logos to use as reference but have long since forgotten the URL.  Ring any bells to anyone?  Anyone?

If you’re looking to compare company logos, GoodLogo.com and Logotypes.ru are pretty good resources.
