Ibiza - part 2

2004 at 04.00 am posted by Veerle

I’m back in Belgium, although still on holiday… I love coming home knowing it’s not over yet. This way you can slowly adapt to normal live as I’m now still a bit comfortable with the ”mañana mañana” lifestyle, which means “if not today maybe tomorrow”. And I can tell you if you’re coming from Ibiza you need it. You are used to being lazy all day and awake till late at night.

bar k-ube at Ibiza townNot that I went from club to club all holiday long like some people do, oh no I’m not like that at all, and besides it’s far too expensive too. I just pick a few nights based on the club’s theme and the DJs that are playing. My favorite theme is the Defected Night, Friday’s at El Divino together with Release Yourself at Pacha with Roger Sanchez playing from midnight till 8 a.m.

My love for house music is one of the things that drives me to that island. I’m actually typing this post with some cool Iberican sound in the background (a CD I bought mixed by DJ Chus & Ceballos). But more about this kind of stuff (Balearic People etc.) later together with some pictures.

For those who are waiting on the next part of the CSS template tutorial, I’m planning to put this online on Friday or Saturday.

Looks like good times. I always liked Cafe del mar, is that still floating around? House is great to dance to, but what I really like is chilling out to the ambient sounds.
