Are you in the market for a new cms tool?

Tired of movable type because of its limits? Then you’re in luck because pMachine just released a next-generation publishing system. Over more then a year in the making and built with the idea to be the most flexible, modular, and scalable web publishing system on the planet. The newborn’s name is ExpressionEngine. I am currently checking out this tool because it sounds so diverse and powerful. With its support for data modeling, web services, work-flow, dynamic data caching, nested category trees, and much more, ExpressionEngine gives you the firepower to create a weblog with zero compromises.
ExpressionEngine gives you an unlimited number of entry fields - per weblog! Fields can be input boxes, textareas, or pull-down menus. And it is fast too! When you start using these kind of tools you have no clue that you’re gonna get stuck somewhere in the process when you have something in mind that you would like to add to your project but can’t because of its limits. This tool gives you the feeling that whatever you have in mind is possible to do because of its endless flexibility. Easy to say in words but better to try out yourself, and you can. There is a demo that runs for 14 days. Rick and his team doing a marvelous job by giving excellent support. So definitely worth some consideration.
I’m also testing this out and it’s my intention to use it for my blog once I’m 100% sure.

:D I guess u r as nervous as me in changing the CMS! I get quite upset with MT sometimes! :D That EE really fits tons of things that MT doesnt… anyhow… what about waiting for MT 3 ?

I have been playing with ExpressionEngine for the last 3 days and I’m mighty impressed!
Gonna transfer my site very soon from pMachine to ExpressionEngine and add new features.
Actually EE is more a CMS (Content Management System) than a weblog tool. Using it just for a weblog is a breeze but it can do so much more. All I can say is check it out!

Precisely what Sintra said…
My blog will do as an ginny pig for the new EE system. See what it can do by building a blog with it. Hope it meets my expectations.

For me personally it has to be out of the public beta stage before I will move to the new system. First I will make my templates work in EE. But time is something I don’t have at the moment to experiment. And believe me it itches ;-)

I have been hunting for the perfect CMS for over a year now. I have finally made my decision and I will go with the EE.
Suggestion: I hope Veerle will post massive amount of tutorials how to customize it too look more appealing to not only myself but to other readers.
I am not much of a coder, so any help from Veerle and others helps.
