Internet Explorer 7 a few details….

Dave Hyatt is hard at work to get Safari through the Acid2 test. It is great that Apple understands the importance of these things. On to the topic of today and that’s Internet Explorer 7.

An emotional 3D tale

7 comments 2005 at 04.52 am posted by Veerle

Something that I lost track of recently re-surfaced and by watching it again I remembered this emotional and beautiful tale so vividly. It’s a short movie about a troubled young woman that finds an unexpected surprise. The beauty of this masterpiece is that there aren’t any real actors in it since everything is in 3D. The short film is called ”This wonderful life”.

This wonderful life
3D is not my cup of tea but it features some of the most advanced and complex facial expressions I’ve seen in a non commercial film. Both technically and artistically an amazing job. The short film was made by Liam Kemp and took 23 months to finish. Maybe you did already know about this but if not I highly recommend watching it, pretty sure it will be the best part of your day.

PS: have a Kleenex nearby ;-)

Imago… developed by two Belgian Mac users

Since the topic of this week seems to be cataloging, this new solution for photographers will fit in nicely. The fact that the solution is developed by two Belgian guys is a nice bonus, and no I am not getting paid to plug it here ;-)

Thunderbird’s Extreme Mac-over

If you’ve ever tried to create good-looking icons then you probably know that some icons can be a real pain, especially getting the message(purpose) across can be difficult. My motto is a program has to look good or otherwise I will loose interest in it even when it has amazing useful features.

Parking…. battle of the sexes

I think it’s time again for some fun. How about a game? This “parking” game is one to try. In real life I admit that parking isn’t one of my strongest qualities.

Nasty evil thing…

Boy do I hate comment spammers, they make life miserable! :-( Right now my blog is under attack and I loose lots of time in research to find the bastard to block him permanently. He’s using spoofed IP addresses and this makes it extra nasty to find who is doing this. A Google search brought me to the conclusion that I’m not the only one right now who is suffering from the same comment’s spammer.

Security, the reality….

I don’t have to draw a picture on how insecure the PC world is and you would think that with all the media attention people realize that security is serious and necessary. Well think again! Since October is National Cyber Security Awareness Month in the US they conducted a poll at the Digital Edge Expo in Washington, D.C. To put it lightly the figures we’re a bit of a shock to me.

Yeti Sports Part 5 - FLAMINGO DRIVE

To keep the tradition alive and mainly because life isn’t all about work, one should have fun too so here’s part 5. The cool thing about these games is that they also run on the newest mobile phones such as Sony Ericsson T610 T630, Z600, P800 and P900. As I get it these are free but you have to download them to your phone. More info about other supported models here. Ideal for those death moments waiting at the airport.
