Does size still matter?

When designing a website I always think of the graphical part first and I deal with all technical questions later on how to translate the design in to a real webpage as “light“ as possible. Of course even in the design stage I do think of the limitations and take them in account so I won’t get surprised once I start building my webpage.

I’m not blogging that long, only since September 2003. Before September I didn’t even know what blogging was, so you can say I am a newbie ;-) My dot Mac account got me started, as a member gift I got iBlog . At first it wasn’t that bad but then I updated the program to a newer version and everything went seriously wrong and I lost all my previous entries.

HTML or plain text in e-mail?

Back in the old days when I was starting to use e-mail my preferred client was Eudora, later replaced by Claris Emailer. Things started to become annoying when Outlook Express came around on Mac and the people of Claris decided to stop developing Claris Emailer. Around that period of time HTML based emails started to drop in. Before Mac OS X it was even more frustrating to view these HTML e-mails.

What’s your idea on Flash websites?

I don’t know about you but I kind of have a mixed feeling about Flash. I think Flash is really great, you can do awesome things with it and from a creative point of view you got the feeling that the sky is the limit. I would never doubt to use Flash for the creation of business presentations or other interactive projects like games or even CD-ROMs. But in fact Flash’s main purpose is web development. In fact Flash has evolved to a standalone web tool and is perfect for Rich Internet Applications.
