Way back on my Quadra 700 I use to have an After Dark Star Trek screensaver that I liked a lot. I heard Spock saying "Scotty get us out of here"... etc. Today I'm still in space when my screen gets dark, except I now run a bit more useful screensaver, I render SETI@home packages.

The only thing I don't like about SETI is the ugly application icon. I've always had something with icons, I love them. You should see my Pixadex library, it's quite a collection. But I also love creating icons for user interfaces etc. So when I thought about creating my first desktop icon, I didn't have to think twice... SETI@home would be my first challenge. As you can see I didn't forget my Windows readers as well, this time it's fun for everyone! ! ;-)

Just a short post to let you know that our server will be down for a few minutes (depending on how smooth everything goes) due to a 10 seconds power loss at Level3. I don’t know exactly when this will happen but our server admin is on site to keep downtime to a minimum. Sorry for the inconvenience :-(

Sorry to keep you waiting so long, but this takes more time then I thought and the problem is that it is SOooo hectic at the moment that I don’t find enough time to work on this at full speed. I’m currently experimenting with PHP scripting, to link my design to the content management system. This is new territory for me and this is of course another reason why it’s taking so long. Hopefully you’ll all be a bit extra patient with me. Thanks! :-)

When I looked at my visitors stats this morning the numbers were going through the roof ;-)... at least for a simple blog like mine. So I did a bit of “Sherlocking” and the unbelievable has happened…

MacSurfer has added a link to my blog today! :-) They were referring to my ShapeShifter story of yesterday. I’m wondering how many visitors a page like MacSurfer gets daily. If only a few of them reach my blog I’m a happy camper ;-)

And it’s nice to see all those Mac fellows arriving on my pages! I hope that they like what they see and that they will keep popping in once in a while. This keeps me motivated to find some interesting stories to tell.

On Friday September 26th I went to Sportpaleis Antwerp to see Chicane live for the first time and hear Armin Van Buuren’s gig, number 5 on the list of the world’s best DJs… The party started around 11 p.m. with a live act from Chicane. The crowd was warming up at this early night hour and Chicane did a good job bringing the crowd in the mood. Especially the singing artists were giving their best of themselves combined with the nice effect of bongos, drums, flute and saxophone,... it all created a southern effect. Flashes of Ibiza were projected on video screens (Pacha logo, road signs to San Antonio Ibiza, an airplane, sunsets etc.). NICE!
