Never been there but apparently the city is famous for its almshouses, university, museums and glorious history - and the spirit of the Golden Age lives on here. It’s that time again, when you can vote for the panels for the next edition of SXSWi. Since 2006, I’ve traveled to and attended this big event in Austin, Texas. I like going to SXSW, not only because I get to see most of my overseas friends but also because I always have the opportunity to meet new creative people, learn new things, and share ideas. SXSW is really an event for connecting with people. This year I didn’t join a panel, but for next year Cindy Li asked me if I was interested in doing a panel and we asked Leslie Jensen-Inman if she would like to join us. The 3 of us have become really good friends over the past 3 years and the idea of doing a panel together made me smile.

Web Directions North is over and I am still sick, but at least I now had the doctor coming over and he prescribed me some medication. When we arrived in Canada we hang out with Jeremy Keith and Dave Shea and enjoyed the local coffee art as you’ll see when I upload my pictures. It’s really cool what they do with the milk. You got to see them doing it to better grasp it but they wouldn’t let us film it.

Maxine of Web Directions North just brought something really unique to my attention, a first timer in our industry. If you are a full time student in the field related to the web industry you better listen up!

I’m just starting to settle in in our new place and the next exciting adventure already comes knocking at my doorstep. One of the countries that has always been on my to-go list is Canada, the world’s second biggest country with its 24 thousand kilometers coastline. Its great nature is one of the reasons I want to visit it. Now I have another, it’s called “Web directions North”.
