They say Ibiza is up with the trends and is cosmopolitan, but besides the music and the fashion, I had a VERY hard time to find a descent WiFi hotspot coffee house. And if you ask around most people have no clue what you mean. They hear the word ‘internet’ and they immediately give directions to some dusty back room internet cafe with no wireless connection. Well, some opportunities still exist here.

I am still a bit tired from enjoying Roger Sanchez’ great set Friday night at ICC Ghent. The music was great and now I can’t wait to see him play at Pacha Ibiza. These are a few picts I took at the party.

Here are the previous parts of this tutorial : part 1, part 2 and part 3. Now that our color paint and pencils are tucked away, we can move on to part 4. In this chapter we will concentrate on slicing our design and determine the DIV containers.

Wow, now I discovered something interesting on the Jaguar X Type website. Certainly worth sharing with my loyal readers :-) On this site you can download some quality MP3 songs for free. The free songs are from “Kaskade“, “Zero 7“ and DB & Stakka.

There’s a lot of talk these days about where the women of CSS are. Molly is asking, Douglas Bowman is asking,... Why are there far less women then men in this field? Maybe there are women out there but they are less vocal or haven’t reached the “celebrity” status as some men do. Of course I haven’t been around long enough so my time might still come where people will remember my name who knows. Also I’m still learning myself, so I’m far from an expert (yet). I can only yell “hello?! I’m here” but if you don’t get heard then I’m one of the many women in this CSS world.

Finally we’re off for the third part of our CSS tutorial. Lesson 1, 2 are still available on my blog for those who haven’t been following from the beginning. This will be our last design part, after this it will be “slice and dice” time and the beginning of the XHTML and CSS conversion. Here are some details of the final result:

Everyday several Belgian people come from Google because they are searching for a release date for the iPod Mini in Belgium. Giving the amount of interest it’s safe to say that it will be a success. Now I can help those people by telling them that the release date for Europe, so Belgium also is July 24th.

Not so long ago I had a bit of trouble while installing Quark 6 on my new computer. For those that aren’t up to speed you can still read the horror story here. Quark only grant you a license to install it on one machine. So in my case transferring to a new machine was a serious hassle especially with a company that has a track record for lousy customer service.

To keep the tradition alive and mainly because life isn’t all about work, one should have fun too so here’s part 5. The cool thing about these games is that they also run on the newest mobile phones such as Sony Ericsson T610 T630, Z600, P800 and P900. As I get it these are free but you have to download them to your phone. More info about other supported models here. Ideal for those death moments waiting at the airport.

I’m going to do my bit in educating people that Ibiza is much more then just a party island. For starters for such a warm and sunny destination, Ibiza remains remarkably green throughout the year. Ibiza and its little sister Formentera are known as “las Islas Pitiusas” (Greek origins), which means as much as “the pine-covered islands”.
