Since we’ve moved I stumbled upon some old illustration work of mine from the early 90’ies…
I used to draw a lot of illustrations in outlines using just a Rotring pen. One of them was this illustration of a postman that I used when I moved 12 years ago. I decided to have it traced with the Pen tool in Adobe Illustrator and have it placed in a landscape.

Very nice. Especially like the shadows and the depth. The original was pretty cool as well with the text!

But the postman took the wrong street! He is going to miss those houses! poor houses! poor people waiting for their snail mail!!

Hmmm. Vector illustration can give a whole new life to old pencil or ink sketches.
I also start (usually) with “real” drawing materials.

I love the power of Illustrator , but sadly I don’t have enough time to learn these yet…...
