Since we’ve moved I stumbled upon some old illustration work of mine from the early 90’ies…

Moved

I used to draw a lot of illustrations in outlines using just a Rotring pen. One of them was this illustration of a postman that I used when I moved 12 years ago. I decided to have it traced with the Pen tool in Adobe Illustrator and have it placed in a landscape.

Very nice. Especially like the shadows and the depth. The original was pretty cool as well with the text!

Hmmm. Vector illustration can give a whole new life to old pencil or ink sketches.
I also start (usually) with “real” drawing materials.

John, the houses are connected by the e-highway. No need for the postman to stop by… All is well :-)
